We, at AutoProducts care about our World and the people in it. For that reason, we put a lot of emphasis into our choice of material and the country and source of origin. We focus on sustainability in its varying forms; environmental impact, sustainability, the use of hazardous substances, ethical and sustainable work practices, and avoiding minerals that derives from conflict-affected areas.
Below are just a few examples on how we work to reduce our environmental impact and our social responsibility.
Sustainability and CO₂
Reduction in Our Aluminum Floors
The global average carbon footprint for aluminum production is 14-15 kg CO₂ per kg of aluminum. Through targeted material choices and continuous optimization, we have already reduced our emissions to 6.6 kg CO₂ per kg aluminum – less than half the global average.
With the introduction of HandiFloor Light (launching after the summer), we will further reduce our footprint to 4 kg CO₂ per kg aluminum. This means that each floor will achieve more than a 40% CO₂ reduction compared to the standard HandiFloor.
How We Reduce CO₂
Beyond Material Choice
But our sustainability efforts go far beyond just selecting low‑impact aluminum and reducing overall weight. We also redesign components to eliminate unnecessary material use.
Our QFW (Quickstep Floor-to-Wall) leg is a good example of such a development project. By developing the QFW system as a replacement of our traditional wheelarch bridge, we managed to eliminate the need for the 9th and 10th rail in the floor and thus reduce the CO2 footprint of the floor with up to 25%.
In addition, the QFW significantly lowers emissions compared to our standard wheelarch bridge. Based on the weight savings in steel alone this exchange saves as much as 50% emissions when using the global average CO2 emissions for steel as a guideline.
We remain committed to continuing this path, constantly exploring new ways to reduce CO₂ emissions across our products and production processes.
How we work to ensure social responsibility
In Denmark we work closely together with our local community to become a Socially Responsible Workplace. That means among other things that we work with local sheltered workshops to provide people with mental or physical challenges a way to use their skills and competences, and feel a sense of belongingness and inclusion into our society. So, whenever you receive a pack of “mixed” bolts, nuts and washers from us, there is a good chance it have been through one such workshop.

We ensure that all materials meet the European Union’s chemical safety regulations under REACH. Every substance is carefully assessed, documented, and controlled to guarantee safety for people and the environment from production to disposal.
RoHS
RoHS Compliance
Our products comply with the EU’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.
We carefully select components to avoid the use of restricted materials such as lead, mercury, and other hazardous chemicals – helping to protect human health, promote safer workplaces, and reduce electronic waste.
CFM
Conflict-Free Minerals (CF)
AutoProducts supports ethical sourcing by ensuring that minerals used in our products are obtained from suppliers who do not contribute to armed conflict or human rights violations. Through rigorous supplier assessments and documentation, we promote transparency and responsible mining practices across our supply chain.
